Organization: The Cornerstone of Success

Homeschooling without a touch of organization can be quite a challenge. That's why I am sharing some of these helpful tools that have become my homeschooling allies. Let’s start with the Homeschool curriculum that I use, Abeka. It has a structured schedule breakdown for all the classes, including the time that each video and class should last. I find it very helpful to create a schedule and stick to it, whether it be a format your homeschool curriculum recommends or something you create on your own. I find it helpful to my children and as a parent to avoid burnout.

This semester I decided to purchase these fun timers from Amazon to help the children understand the importance of time and doing their best to complete their assignments within the set time frame for each video and activity. They may go over 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc., but these timers greatly help them understand the principle of time. This also helps us as moms avoid burnout and be able to plan our days with structure.
